In Moscow, a Russian student, Ivan, and an Indian diplomat’s son were brought in by Shyamasundara to meet Srila Prabhupada in his room. Ivan took to Krishna like a hungry man eats a meal. In the couple of days that they were there, Srila Prabhupada and Shyamasundara taught Ivan how to chant, cook, and all the basic principles of bhakti yoga. Prabhupada taught Ivan as much as he could. In this young man’s eagerness and intelligence, Srila Prabhupada found the real purpose of his visit to Russia.
