(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita (presents in graceful poetic style, an account of the life and teachings of Lord Chaitanya, the greatest of all devotional seer-poets and the incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna Himself. Bhaktivedanta, Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, was a cause for celebration among both scholars in Indian Studies and lay-people seeking to enrich their knowledge of Indian spirituality, because it filled the lacuna in the libraries and in courses offered in western universities, on the religious traditions of India.)
