Prabhupada's True Nature
Pita Dasa: At one point Prabhupada said that he had prayed his whole life to give up eating, sleeping, mating and defending. Can you imagine praying to Krishna, "Dear Krishna, please let me give up eating, sleeping, mating and defending." Prabhupada said, "I already gave up the defending and the mating and by this disease I have also given up the eating and the sleeping. So Krishna has finally answered my prayer. Now my sense of smell is gone. When you cannot smell anymore, that means death will come soon." Prabhupada was revealing his true nature to us. He is completely free from eating, sleeping, mating and defending. The eating and the sleeping part are a little hard to give up, but he did it.
