Prabhupada was listening to the story of the kidnapping of Rukmini

Rupa-vilasa : The first time Prabhupada came to Dallas, there was no real place for him to sit outside. The weather was often warm and he had apparently requested that there be some facility like a garden in which to sit. So they created one in the backyard of an adjoining house and it was really nice. They had Tulsi devis everywhere and flowers and all kinds of fountains. Prabhupada often sat out there in his white rocking chair and he would have different devotees read from Krishna Book.

One particular day Prabhupada was listening to the story of the kidnapping of Rukmini. The story was unfolding and building up to the point where Krishna actually snatches Rukmini and rides off with her in the chariot. Prabhupada was getting more and more excited because as we got to that part of the story he was kind of leaning forward in his chair. Finally when Krishna grabbed Rukmini and put her on the chariot Prabhupada's eyes got very big and said, "And not that she was like some weak woman. She was driving the chariot!" I remember being really startled thinking, "Wow, I don't remember that in the Krishna Book. So I went back to check and it doesn't say anything about this in the Krishna Book but apparently Prabhupada was having some type of revelation at this point about this pastime.
