We manufacture devotees from any part of the world.

Srila Prabhupada presided over the second big yajna of the festival today. Wearing fragrant rose garlands, he sat serenely in the temple courtyard on the semicircular side steps, seated on one of the asanas from his prasadam room. Pushta Krishna Swami sat next to him, holding an armful of new japa beads. I stood on the other side holding a decorative ceremonial umbrella, to shield him from the direct rays of the hot sun. He initiated thirty-five candidates into harinama and created another thirty-three brahmanas.

Among them was a boy from Iran, and Prabhupada particularly noted him in his talk. "We manufacture devotees from any part of the world. Just immediately we initiated a devotee, Bhrigu Muni dasa. He is from Iran. So Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's mission is this, that prithivite ache yata nagaradi grama, sarvatra pracara haibe mora nama. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu wanted that in every village and every town on the surface of the globe they should at least hear Hare Krishna maha-mantra." After handing out the japa beads he gave a short talk explaining the meaning of initiation, which he summarized as "the beginning of receiving transcendental knowledge."
