I wrote 30 or 40 poems to Prabhupada

Patita Pavana: Srila Prabhupada was absolutely empowered to empower others to present the truth. Writing, therefore, was very important to me and I wrote 30 or 40 poems to Prabhupada. I gave them to him at the temple on Henry Street. He took it and said, "Yes, poetry, poetic, this is a quality of a devotee." Then he actually took my book of poems and he embraced to his chest and started hugging it. Then he looked at it, turned it upside down and hugged it again. He did that over and over again, and he left it right near his vyasasana. That was how much Srila Prabhupada appreciated this work. Having us push on the movement through writing is Prabhupada's blessing upon us.
