Oh, just like India
Dhruva Maharaj: On the Radha-Damodar bus I would often wake up early and assist Visnujana Maharaj with some cooking for the deities. It was also my service to prepare the charnamrita after the deities had been worshiped.
Many of the temples at the time used thick yogurt that they mixed with the charnamrita and it seemed more like yogurt than charnamrita to me. So I put in just a little bit of yogurt and made it more watery than it was thick. When Srila Prabhupada came onto the bus, he went over and took darshan of the deities and then he took the charnamrita. When he took it, he looked at it and said, "Oh, just like India." I appreciated that he acknowledged my little service.
