Marching out of Vrindavana

Mahanidhi DasaAlthough Srila Prabhupada was absorbed in the spiritual sanctity of Sri Vrindavan Dham, he was always preparing to leave Krishna's holy abode in order to preach its glories to the western people, so far removed in forgetfulness. Srila Prabhupada accepted sannyasa on September 17, 1959, moved to an upstairs room at the Radha-Damodara temple, and concentrated his energy on translating into English and purporting the Srimad-Bhagavatam. After spending nine years, over ten percent of his life, in Vrindavan, Srila Prabhupada, empowered by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and his guru maharaja, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, and encouraged by his recent publication of Srimad-Bhagavatam, marched out of Vrindavan as a valiant Vaisnava conveying the will of the Supreme Lord.
