What is a hippie?

Haripada Dasa: Everyone knows, that knows anything about the Hare Krishna movement, that most of us joined as hippies. So I have to say I am one of those hippies. One time, Prabhupada met a reporter at the airport and the reporter was saying, "So Swamiji, I have heard that you have many hippies in your movement. What is a hippie?" And Prabhupada said, "You know better than me, something extraordinary."
