Cittahari Dasa: On the morning walk again, it was the day of Ratha-yatra, only four of us went on the morning walk that day; because everybody else was busy getting ready for the Ratha-yatra. Ugrasrava was driving, Satsvarupa was in the front with him, Madhudvisa wasn't even there because he had gone to organize things. I got to sit with Prabhupada in the back seat of the car. We were driving along St. Kilda Road in Melbourne and there are a lot of office buildings and the people were very well-dressed, high-class people. They were all going off to work, all dressed up, marching off to work with their briefcases and so on.
I was looking out of the window at them and Prabhupada was on the left side, looking out the window. I remember I was feeling like, "Look at these fools! They're all off to work and I'm here with Prabhupada." I was getting a little puffed up in my mind, I remember, thinking like that. And then Prabhupada turned around to me with tears streaming from his eyes! And he said to me (crying), "How can they be saved?" That's really the key.
I have always been thinking about that my whole life. "How to save those people?" That's the inspiration for what I am doing presently, I guess - starting prasadam restaurants. I've just opened one in Moscow. I've finally found a way we can get to those people. The people who are coming into our restaurant are the ones with suits and ties, business people. I've always been trying to figure out how to get to those people because they won't listen to harinama. They're too busy. They won't take a book because they are too busy or they think they know everything. They will take prasadam if it is presented to them, not as Hare Krishna, so we're doing it undercover, sort of, in Moscow.
Devotee: That's an amazing solution!
Cittahari Dasa: Yes, but it's taken my whole life to come to it. I've always been thinking how we can save those people, Srila Prabhupada wanted me to do that. All we have to do is please our guru and Krishna. Krishna is happy if he is happy.
