Krishna's moustache

Sravanananda Dasa: We had a program at Parthasarathi temple and Prabhupada was with the devotees at Manical Bhai's house where he stayed - a Gujarati, I think, very nice congregational member. When we were in Madras we had a lot of Marwadis, Gujaratis, Punjabis, and a few Tamil people that helped us very much in trying to establish things there.

Devotees made comments about Krishna with the moustache that He had on, the Deity there. Devotees asked people at the temple, "Why the moustache?" People said, "Krishna is Parthasarathi. In the Battle of Kuruksetra, He is a kshatriya and most kshatriyas have moustaches." So devotees asked Prabhupada about that and Prabhupada commented by touching his lip very gently and said, "Nava-yauvanam. Krishna never is beyond the age of a young boy that has just some light hair on his lip like…" and the devotee said, "Peach fuzz." And Prabhupada said, "Yes. He has no moustache."

So that was a very nice intimate time with Prabhupada where he's telling us exactly about Krishna's true appearance.
