It was wonderful to see him translate during the day.

My mysterious weakness has gradually declined and I was fit enough to resume my massaging duties today. I confess to having been in some anxiety that Srila Prabhupada might dismiss me as his servant due to my inability to function during this last week. But he has mercifully allowed me to remain within his quarters, never once suggesting that I be replaced.

Srila Prabhupada surprised me this afternoon, by requesting me to set up his dictaphone in his prasadam room. It was wonderful to see him translate during the day. He is so determined to preach. This is the first time I have seen him do this since Hawaii. Despite feeling ill and being heavily involved in the management here, he has not slackened off his translation work at all.

Subhavilasa prabhu arrived today from Toronto. He showed Prabhupada photos of a restaurant they have acquired and gave a report on the temple there. Prabhupada was pleased to see the progress. However, when Subhavilasa complained about the standard of management in Canada, and proposed that Srila Prabhupada appoint him as the GBC, Prabhupada declined to get involved. He directed him instead to the GBC body, telling him that if they agreed, he had no objection.
