Why should we work? We are the sons of the richest man.
Hansadutta das: During this time, Shyamasundar had a program where he was inviting different prominent persons to come see Prabhupada for darshan, celebrities. One reporter during a darshan asked Prabhupada if we worked. Prabhupada said, "No, we don't work. Why should we work? We are the sons of the richest man." Then he said, "You see this manor, right? What do you think it's worth?" So the reporter said, "Half a million pounds or more." He said, "So do you think that if you worked your whole life you would have enough money to buy it?" And he said, "No." He said, "Well, you see? We don't work but we've got it. Someone gave it to us. So why should we work? We get everything we need."
