Siva cannot give you liberation!
Janananda Dasa: Some Indians were arguing whether Siva is equal to Krishna. Prabhupada smiled and explained how Lord Siva is Krishna, but in one sense, not Krishna. He gave the example of how curd comes from milk and in that sense is not different from milk but at the same time, it is not milk. But, they kept pressing their point.
Prabhupada finally said, "No, Lord Siva cannot give you liberation!" (Complete freedom from the material world and reinstatement in our eternal position as a servant of Lord Krishna in the spiritual world. Jivera svarupa haya krishnera nitya dasa.)
