Tamal Krishna Goswami : Prabhupada's son, Vrindavan Chandra, and I were with Prabhupada. Prabhupada started to remember his grihastha life. He told his son, "Actually, your mother was a very good wife, chaste and devoted. One could not ask for a better wife. It was me. I was not very easy." He started to cry and said, "She was so good." He said, "I should not say this, I should not say it." I could see it was a way of healing any possible ill feeling that his son might have had towards him for leaving the family and taking sannyas. Prabhupada wasn't acting, but his heart was soft. This was one of those extraordinary moments when Prabhupada showed a mood very different from his official position. Such moments were special and charming.
