Biography - Lal Bhadur Shastri receives Srimad Bhagavatam from Swami in 1964

In June 1964, Bhaktivedanta Swami got the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri. Srila Prabhupada gave the Prime Minister a copy of the his first volume of Srimad Bhagavatam. A photographer took a picture. The Prime Minister smiled at the book. The next day, Bhaktivedanta Swami wrote to the Prime Minister and he soon received a favorable reply, personally signed by the Prime Minister.
