SMOKING GANJA

Giriraj Swami: When we were with Srila Prabhupada at Kartikeya Mahadevia’s house in Bombay, Srila Prabhupada received a phone call from the temple president in Calcutta, who informed Srila Prabhupada that one of Prabhupada’s oldest disciples had fallen into difficulty in India and was smoking ganja. Srila Prabhupada told the authority to tell him that if he didn’t stop smoking ganja, Prabhupada would reject him.

When Srila Prabhupada got off the phone, Tamal Krishna Goswami asked, "Srila Prabhupada, is it true that you will reject him if he doesn’t stop smoking ganja?"

Srila Prabhupada replied, "No. I cannot reject anyone."

Then Tamal Krishna Goswami questioned, "But Srila Prabhupada, don’t you have to draw the line somewhere? Is there not some limit?"

And Srila Prabhupada said, "No. The mercy of Lord Nityananda is unlimited."
