The dream about the dictaphone

Gargamuni Dasa: But something made me stop. And later on, like 40 years later, I read a conversation that Prabhupada had with somebody. And he had a dream at this time that, if there was a machine that could record his voice, and then type, the type. He had a dream about the dictaphone. Many years before he came to America, he wanted a machine. But I didn't know what the machine was. He didn't know what the machine is. But somebody did, because it made me stop at that window you see. So maybe it was Prabhupada, maybe it was Krishna. I don't know but I stopped there, and got the dictaphone. Somehow or other I stopped at that store. It wasn't an accident. It was meant to be. So I brought the dictaphone back and I thought, "Boy, I'm going to have to teach Prabhupada about how to work this, how is he going to work microphone? You know, you have to learn all the switches. How is he going to do that? He's from Vrindavan." But he did know how to work a tape recorder. So he knew how to do.
