October 3, 1977 : Vrindavan

Tamala Krishna: Hari Sauri asked whether he could have a Deity of Prabhupada. Prabhupada said no. It would be better to have his Deity on the altar where everyone could worship. Hari Sauri mentioned that he had some items of clothing, etc., which he wished to worship; but Prabhupada said he could do that later, "When I am no longer present."

Srila Prabhupada exhibited all the qualities of a great acharya. He never claimed to be an incarnation of God or God Himself. He always introduced himself to be servant of the servant of the Lord.
