Keep it in my closet

Gargamuni Dasa: Prabhupada left at the end of December and that's when we got the Deity. It was just a few days after Prabhupada left, I think. Prabhupada spent three months or more in San Francisco to establish the temple. Whenever he would go and make a centre, he would stay for a few months to establish it and make sure that everything was running smoothly, when he left, nothing would stop. So he spent time in San Francisco.

While he was in San Francisco, we got this Deity. We called Prabhupada that we got this Deity. He said, "Keep it in my closet," in his residence at 26 Second Avenue. Because when we got this Deity we were in 26 Second Avenue. And we were in 61 Second Avenue by the end of December. We did get it at 26 and then we moved it, yeah, we moved to 61... that was later. That was after Prabhupada came. My timing is wrong. So I'm wrong about that.

We were in 26 Second Avenue when we got the Deity. So we called Prabhupada, he said, "Keep it in my apartment, in my closet." So we kept it there with a cloth around it.
