Chocolate Sandesh and Rasberry Chutney

Gargamuni Dasa: One of the favourite preparations that we manufactured in Los Angeles, was called "Radha Red", and it was fresh raspberries made into a chutney, you see, and Prabhupada liked that also. So devotees became very good at making different kinds of sweets, you know. The original "Simply Wonderfuls" didn't have so many dried fruits, so later on we added cashews and almonds and coconut, fresh coconut, you know. We developed the preparations very nicely, you see, and Prabhupada enjoyed those preparations that people developed on. I even gave in Calcutta... They had started making sandesh chocolate, sandesh with chocolate inside, like a flavoured chocolate, because we're not supposed to eat chocolate. But Prabhupada said we're only not supposed to eat it if it's intoxicating, but I gave some sandesh from Gangaram’s, which is the most famous sweet house in Calcutta, and I gave Prabhupada chocolates and he liked it very much. So I always did things out of the ordinary (chuckles).
