Hari Sauri Dasa: Ambarisha has come here to Delhi for a special purpose. He plans to finance a new development in Kurukshetra and he has already donated $150,000 for the project.
Prabhupada wants to build a Varnasrama University there, as well as a temple of Krishna and Arjuna. To this end he has been in contact with Gulzarilal Nanda, a former home minister and twice the acting prime minister of India.
Gulzarilal Nanda is now in charge of a special trust set up to develop the Kurukshetra area for pilgrims. Nandaji arrived at the temple at noon and came up on the rooftop. As Prabhupada sat on a straw mat in his gamcha receiving his massage, Nandaji perched on a chair. They discussed the Kurukshetra project. They talked first about the work Nandaji has done to restore and develop the Kurukshetra area and what Prabhupada's requirements would be for his proposed college. Then gradually ranged onto more general topics. At the end, they agreed to meet once again on December 1st, in Kurukshetra. Prabhupada will examine the land, and continue the discussions on his plans for development at the site.
