You know what is within the verses of these books; and similarly, I am a farmer's son, and I know what is within the earth!

Srila Prabhupada went out in mid-morning to inspect some land directly opposite the Krishna Balarama Hasanan Gosala Bhumi Trust, on Mathura road. The property is for sale, and Prabhupada was thinking of purchasing it to use as a gosala. He took with him Akshayananda Swami, Bhagatji, and one or two other devotees. Upon returning, he discussed it with Bhagatji, who was not in favor of buying it. He said the land was full of stones. When Srila Prabhupada asked him how he knew, Bhagatji laughed and pointed to Prabhupada's books. "You know what is within the verses of these books; and similarly, I am a farmer's son, and I know what is within the earth!" Prabhupada laughed and decided not to buy the land. The rest of the day was quiet and restful. Prabhupada gave a short darsana in the late afternoon.
