Srila Prabhupada, an expert Acharya

Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami: One day in Los Angeles Prabhupada had asked me to figure out what 7 1/2% of $760 was. Not owning a calculator, I set out to figure it by simple multiplication, but since I hadn’t done such a thing since my schooldays, I couldn’t even do that. Prabhupada had taken the paper from me and set up the proper multiplication method, which I then carried out. In Hawaii, however, he mainly wanted to review the position of ISKCON’s funds in various bank accounts. I assisted him, going through the papers he kept in his white attache case. When I finished reading the different bank statements to him, Prabhupada seemed satisfied that he had heard enough.
