Lokanath: Bob Cohen joined the Peace Corps in 1971 and went to India as a science teacher. There he inquired about the Hare Krishna movement. In February 1972 he met devotees, who invited him to the Mayapur festival. For several days in a row, starting on February 27, Srila Prabhupada invited Bob into his kutir for talks. Their discussions were recorded and later published as a small book: Perfect Questions, Perfect Answers.
In this book Bob writes: "Before I met Srila Prabhupada and his disciples, spiritual life was always obscure and nebulous. But the discussions with Srila Prabhupada were realistic, clear, and exciting. Even though I had little ability to express myself, Srila Prabhupada understood my every inquiry and answered perfectly."
These meetings were a turning point for Bob. He became serious about Krishna consciousness, and later he and his wife became Brahma-tirtha Dasa and Bhakti-devi Dasi.
