Srila Prabhupada holds a feast for the first time for the members of his fledgling society in his loft at the Bowery and cooks twelve different preparations.
In his diary, he writes: Navami. Today the eating of the members took place. I cooked 12 twelve different item and all present more than sixteen ladies and gentlemen ate with great pleasure. The introduction was alright. It was all Grace of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
